WINTER WONDERLAND!!

So Hartsville has finally seen another WINTER WONDERLAND since our last "big" snow in 2000 or 2001. I failed to believe that it would actually happen but it NEVER fails that we have the big snow on a weekend when we of course DO NOT have school so no special days out. On the contrary, that is actually a possi. because then we don't have to have days out for spring break. (: I may not even have a spring break which is typically of the norm but its not big...

So Valentines day on a Sunday is not so common and very rare says Reba Goff. Seeing her in the back today at work making 3 or 4 buckets of sweet tea made me ask her, "Were you expecting us to be this busy today considering its Valentines day?" She responds to me while whipping the sugar in the sweet tea saying, "I don't remember the last time we had Valentines day on a Sunday! " lol it felt almost as if it was THANKSGIVING only difference is we didn't have the entire Mr. B's crew to help with all the BUSYNESS of the customers dinning in! i think we had to close the doors because the line was so back up with no where to sit in the restaurant! The crowd was unbelievable today but I have to say that being able to greet each of my customers with a "happy valentines day" helped make my day because each one of them smiled with kindness. I had a table of 4 to sit down at one of my ten tops and unfortunately when the guy asked me if i could get him some fat back i had to tell him that i couldn't get it. His father remembered it was valentines day and his entire world lighten up and he told me to come around to his side of the table and he gave me a hug and said "Happy valentines day sweetheart!" As they were finishing up their food he asked me if I wanted any puppies. I told him how much I really wanted a cute little dog and offered me two puppies! He wanted to bring them to me next weekend at the restaurant but I wont be there and of course running with the schedule that I run, the poor thing couldn't possibly survive! ... a fun part of work today was trying to sing happy birthday to Dan! Since today is his birthday, Lauren and I decided to give him a chocolate cake with a candle in it! It took us about and hour or so to finally give it to him because we had to rally everyone up and figure out the song! Plus he was walking around the restaurant on the phone( Even though we thought he was pretending, that was the funny part) lol Everyone kept saying "ya'll are gonna make Dan mad. Don't do that. Don't do that" but we did it anyway and he smiled !! Exactly what we wanted him to do! The only thing he said to us was "Do ya'll realize that we are open right now?" and at that we all scatter off and went to work!! hahaa!!

What a great day! I even made it late to dance because we had so much to do at Mr. B's but I pulled it together and at least got to practice elite tap, me and J's duet, and my solo. I'm getting so hyped about State Dance this coming weekend! This is the last year for me to make my mark. If I don't do it now, then it will not ever be able to be done at Sc State Dance. Motto for the weekend : "Do the Dang THANG !" (right Mrs. Brenda??) Originated last year at state dance ! BCSD is GOING HARD this weekend ! :) I believe in us and I think that we believe in ourselves as a group and together we all can pull together and make things happen! OOOOO I CANT WAIT!! Through all the crazy competition madness maybe I will be able to breathe sometime and go out on the cold beach and take a few pictures with Shannon! :) That would be fun fun fun!

Well if its God's willing I will make it through this week with all the school work and IB things that I have to do! I need to be preparing myself as of right now ! && i HAVE TO HAVE TO HAVE TO make it to Mere's class Tuesday and Thursday! Let's hope I don't get over whelmed like last week and miss both days! Lol It's reading time. Which means bedtime.. CHOW FOR NOW!
